About The Position

The general purpose of this position is to aid the Clothing Warehouse Coordinator in day to day tasks to prepare and manage the clothing donation side of our Hope Center. We receive large quantities of clothing donations daily that we must, clean, sort, and organize for our guests in need!

Requirements

• Be an attending member of North Phoenix Baptist Church with a love for the Lord and a willingness to serve.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Ability to work well in varying temperatures including hot and cold environments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability.
• Allergen Alert: the clothing we intake may initially contain pet hair and other allergens. If you have a pet hair allergy or similar consideration, please reconsider applying for this specific position.

Responsibilities

• Emptying clothing donation bins daily
• Wash, dry, and sort clothing donations
• Transporting cleaned clothes to sorting rooms
• Aid volunteers with clothing intake process
• Aid Clothing Warehouse Coordinator and/or Hope Center Director with various Hope Center duties as assigned.
• Assist with setup for monthly First Friday events
