We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Clothing Accessory Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for selecting and purchasing accessory merchandise that aligns with our brand vision, sales goals, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will combine strong data analysis skills with attention to detail to help build a profitable and appealing product assortment. Requirements

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret and act on sales and inventory reports.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be professional in accordance with company objectives to solve complex retail business related problems.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of buying, merchandising, or retail planning experience, preferably in softlines or accessories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications; experience with retail management systems (ERP or merchandising software) is a plus.

  • College degree or trade certification preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to develop seasonal buying plans and product assortments.
  • Source, select, and negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with planning, marketing, and visual teams to execute category strategies and promotional plans.
  • Maintain accurate purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with vendors on shipments and product delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and performance, making recommendations for markdowns or reorders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on category performance and market insights.
  • Attend trade shows, vendor meetings, and market appointments as needed to stay current with industry trends.
  • Other duties pertaining to the procurement of products, goods or services as assigned by management.
