About The Position

The Closure Sales Associate position at Cordis is a full-time role focused on supporting the closure business within a designated geography. The associate will work closely with the Territory Manager and Associate Territory Manager to achieve sales objectives through case support and product in-servicing, directly contributing to revenue generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of related experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical field or a related area required.
  • Clinical background with strong sales skills and a track record preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Keen self-awareness and ability to work in stressful environments.
  • Above average reading, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency in business English and grammar.
  • Good arithmetic skills and attention to detail to maintain records and process reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to travel regionally within the assigned geography.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Cath lab technician or nurse is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the medical device industry.

Responsibilities

  • Meet revenue generation targets on assigned accounts quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.
  • Drive product utilization in existing accounts by cultivating new physician users and re-engaging lost customers.
  • Conduct in-services and presentations to staff including physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, techs, and management.
  • Complete training and obtain certification for Closure products, demonstrating competency as defined by the training team.
  • Travel regionally and nationally with little notice to support cases.
  • Communicate daily with territory team members and provide updates on competitive, clinical, and customer situations.
  • Track sales and support activities as directed by the National Director.
  • Manage product complaints appropriately and maintain company standards of ethical conduct.
  • Complete all required Ethics & Integrity training prior to the first day in the field.
