About The Position

The Closing Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring that the store finishes strong each night by prioritizing guest service and leading the team through closing routines. This role involves understanding the business vision, driving sales, and fostering a guest-first culture. The Closing Team Leader will work closely with team members to develop skills, solve problems, and execute store strategies while maintaining a focus on guest experience.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

• Use business planning tools to share priorities and business updates with store leadership.
• Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
• Support team onboarding and learning.
• Lead and demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Model creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests.
• Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store.
