About The Position

The Closing Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring that the store finishes strong each night by prioritizing guest service and leading the team through closing routines. This role involves developing skills in guest service, driving sales, and fostering effective business partnerships. The Closing Team Leader will work to create a welcoming environment for guests and ensure that the store is set up for success the next day.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

• Use business planning tools to share priorities and business updates.
• Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
• Support team onboarding and learning.
• Lead and demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Model creating a welcoming experience for guests.
• Support merchandise protection strategies.
• Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up orders.
