About The Position

As a Closing Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for ensuring that the store finishes strong each night by prioritizing guest service and executing closing routines. You will lead a team that is committed to delivering a guest-first culture, driving sales, and achieving store profitability. Your role will involve problem-solving, coaching team members, and collaborating with store leadership to meet business goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment while supporting various guest services.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support your leader with store operations by ensuring departments are zoned, in-stock, signed, and labeled appropriately.
  • Use business planning tools to share priorities and business updates with store leadership.
  • Take action to achieve performance goals.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Support team onboarding and learning.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier.
  • Address store needs such as emergency and regulatory visits.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Assist in creating a safety advocacy culture.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up orders.
