About The Position

The Closing Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring a strong finish to the day by prioritizing guest service and leading the closing routines of the store. This role involves fostering a guest-first culture, driving sales, and developing effective partnerships across the store to achieve business goals. The Closing Team Leader will also focus on team development, operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong workload management and prioritization skills.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude with effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a retail environment.
  • Familiarity with cash register operations and handling cash.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift merchandise up to 44 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support team onboarding and learning, helping to close skill gaps through coaching and interactions.
