About The Position

The Closing Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring that the store finishes strong each night by prioritizing guest service and leading the closing routines. This role involves building a guest-first culture, driving sales, and developing effective business partnerships across the store. The Closing Team Leader will also coach team members, problem-solve across multiple business areas, and support store operations to ensure a successful next day. The position requires a focus on inclusivity, service culture, and safety, while also addressing compliance needs and enhancing the in-store security culture.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

  • Model creating a welcoming experience for guests.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up orders.
