Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Closing Document Review Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for auditing all mortgage loans assigned in a timely manner. Review all completed and signed closing documents for accuracy and execution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree a plus
  • Familiarity with governmental requirements for mortgage loan processes a plus

Responsibilities

  • Audit closing package to confirm all closing documents are present signed and dated properly
  • Follow up with applicable parties on any incorrect or missing documents
  • Communicate with branch and other departments on status of follow up
  • Cure all investor and insuring suspense items and communicate with post-closing/insuring departments on status
  • Assign final closing documents to respective container in document imaging system
  • Maintain acceptable timelines and Quality Control (QC) score for post-closing activities
  • Maintain outstanding condition pipeline and keep comments current regarding follow up documentation
  • Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
