David Weekley Homes has an opportunity for highly motivated individuals to join our Accounting & Finance Team as a Closing Coordinator. Job Responsibilities: Communicate daily with title companies and internal team members regarding timing of lot purchase transactions, acting as liaison for DWH Initiate lot purchases and coordinate closing transactions with Title Companies and Attorneys Review lot purchase closing documents for accuracy using the purchase contracts to research and confirm correct closing costs and credits Create, maintain and update any reporting or tracking documents to ensure accurate and timely lot purchases Monitoring, and sometimes limiting, the quantity and lot type of certain transactions through the appropriate approval process Work closely with team members in all new and upcoming markets to establish and facilitate correct lot purchase procedures Other special projects and reporting as needed Qualifications 5+ years experience working with loan and closing process at a Mortgage or Title company is preferred as well as an understanding of lot purchase contracts Four year degree with Business specialization preferred Proficiency in MS Excel required. Experience using formulas, graphs/charts, spreadsheets strongly desired Proficiency in MS Office-Word and Outlook Lack of "call reluctance" Demonstrated experience communicating with others by phone on a regular basis and consistently meeting deadlines Ability to multi-task, an enthusiastic approach to maintaining details and managing time in a fast-paced environment are essential Ideal Candidate will also Possess: Strong commitment to provide superior customer service Great problem solving approach and skills Ability to take initiative and work independently while working with others in a team environment Desire to identify and implement process improvements Additional Information Work Location: This is an on-site position at our Houston headquarters located near the intersection of I-10 Katy Freeway & 610 W Loop N Freeway.
