The Clocker is responsible for accurately timing workouts each morning at the Grand Prairie, TX location. This seasonal position involves supervising the clocking staff, maintaining a book of each horse's registered markings for identification, and inputting daily workout details into the computer. The Clocker generates workout reports, makes copies, and distributes them to the appropriate personnel. In case of an accident on the track, the Clocker notifies the ambulance and other relevant parties. Additionally, the Clocker coordinates the Workout Rule and first-time starters for entries with appropriate personnel, approves first-time starters around the turn, and updates the list as necessary. Other duties may be assigned by management, including transmitting complaints, protests, objections, or disputes to the Stewards and assisting in the daily operation of the racing office.
