About The Position

This position provides professional nursing care for office patients, adhering to established standards and procedures. The role is based at the Heart Center in Madison and is a full-time, 1st shift position. Huntsville Hospital was recently recognized as a Best Regional Hospital and #2 in Alabama by U.S. News & World Report, known for its extensive facilities including a specialized Orthopedic & Spine Tower, a Level III Regional Neonatal ICU, and the largest Emergency Department and Level 1 Trauma Center in the state. The hospital is also a certified Primary Stroke Center and recognized for its heart programs, offering various opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care
  • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
  • Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness
