About The Position

Acts as collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for the problems that patients and families experience related to their health care and treatment to include teaching, counseling and supporting as needed to assist provider, patient and family. Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant.

Requirements

• Graduated from an approved nursing program.
• Current AL RN licensure.
• Minimum of one year clinic experience in direct patient care setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using computer terminal, fax machine, and copy machine.
• BCLS must be obtained during orientation period.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of and quality patient care.
• Assess and provide appropriate intervention for patient and family health care problems.
• Teach, counsel, and support patients and families as needed.
• Assist provider and act as lead clinician.
• Serve as a dedicated telephone assistant.
