About The Position

Responsible for pulmonary diagnostic procedures. Secondary clinical responsibility includes knowledge and assistance with all aspects of pulmonary rehabilitation and smoking cessation. Helps with the overall successful operation of the CLH and related services consistent with the philosophies and organizational goals of Huntsville Hospital.

Requirements

Must be licensed by the ASBRT, registry by the N.B.R.C. preferred.
BLS certification is mandatory for employment.
Require experience as a respiratory therapist in a critical care environment.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
Excellent communication skills with presentation abilities necessary.
Ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas Bronchial Hygiene including delivery of medications via aerosol and MDI, Oxygen Therapy, and Arterial Blood Gas Collection, Pulmonary Function testing and Cardiac Monitoring.
Ability to organize, accomplish goals and objectives, meet deadlines and problem solving using discretion, and sound judgment.
Must have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
