About The Position

The Van Driver position involves driving guests to designated locations, assisting with luggage, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and performing concierge duties. The role requires strong analytical and navigation skills to coordinate multiple pick-ups and drop-offs on a schedule that may change continuously. The Van Driver must drive the van according to scheduled runs and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year driving experience.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR).
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive guests to designated locations as per scheduled runs.
• Assist guests with luggage and load/unload luggage carts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the van interior and exterior.
• Greet guests in a pleasant manner and escort them to rooms upon request.
• Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures using luggage tags.
• Deliver messages to meeting rooms and maintain a current listing of local attractions.
• Provide information, maps, and directions as required.
• Ensure lobby reader board is correct and maintain cleanliness of the lobby area.
• Deliver flowers, packages, and messages to guest rooms.
• Complete room changes and answer console to assist guest services agents.
• Show guest rooms and suites as needed and emphasize company amenities.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
