About The Position

The Clinician role involves providing clinical services, ensuring quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), and handling administrative responsibilities. This position requires managing a billable norm, offering consultation and education services, and engaging in professional development. The Clinician is expected to contribute positively to the work environment and collaborate effectively with coworkers and customers. The role specifically involves working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups, as well as coordinating services with State Protective and private collateral agencies. Key aspects include strong communication skills, flexibility in scheduling to meet patient and organizational needs, and the ability to conduct various therapeutic interventions and assessments.

Requirements

  • Professional independent licensure in State of Kansas is required (LSCSW, LMLP, Psy. D, Ph.D, LPCP or LCMFT preferred; if LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP, must be working toward clinical independent licensure)
  • Practicum, internship, or other experience working with children and adolescents, adults, families and group work and experience coordination of services with other State Protective and private collateral agencies is required
  • Must have good listening skills, verbal skills, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to observe patient demeanor and nonverbal communication for assessment purposes
  • Must be able and willing to have some flexibility in scheduling, to meet patient and organization needs
  • Must maintain Kansas State licensure and appropriate CEU’s
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with referral sources and external care providers
  • Must have credentials or experience sufficient to be privileged to do outpatient admissions, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, neuropsychological and psychological testing (as appropriate to credentials) and collateral consultations
  • Must be proficient at basic keyboarding/word processing skills
  • Must be able to pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation Screen, Central Registry Screen, and DCF (Kansas Dept. for Children & Families, formerly SRS) background check
