About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems is building a continuous pipeline of clinicians to support our mental health and substance use programs in Bloomington, Illinois . This evergreen opportunity allows us to thoughtfully match clinicians to programs based on experience, licensure, interests, and organizational needs. Clinicians may work across outpatient, residential, court-involved, and integrated care settings, serving adults and children with substance use and mental health needs. These postings support both fully licensed clinicians and those earlier in their professional journey who are passionate about recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field with active Illinois licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) OR Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field with relevant clinical or behavioral health experience
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) credential welcomed
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health and substance use assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment, continuing care, and discharge plans
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
  • Facilitate skills-based, psychoeducational, and therapeutic groups
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, referral sources, and community partners
  • Participate in court-involved or justice-related services when applicable
  • Support interns, students, or less experienced clinicians as appropriate to role and licensure
  • Model and promote recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care practices
  • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through adherence to behavioral standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all organizational and consumer information
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on program and service needs
