About The Position

Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Health System, a CARF accredited division of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, is a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Northern New Jersey. We are currently seeking a Full Time Clinician for our Partial Care department located in Union City, New Jersey. Partial Care is a day treatment program for severely and persistently mentally ill patients who require structure, intensive treatment, and close medication monitoring to prevent hospitalization. Job Duties: The Clinician bears primary responsibility for service coordination, provision or arrangement of services needed, personal advocacy, and development, review, and updating of individual treatment and service plans. The Clinician provides case management and support to PC clients; advocates for client needs; facilitates psycho-educational and skill building groups; develops individual recovery plans with clients; functions as part of the PC Team; interfaces with the PC psychiatrist; maintains collateral contacts with other providers in the community on behalf of clients; carries a caseload; and prepares documents in compliance with regulatory standards. The following duties and responsibilities are essential job functions and requirements associated with the position. Marginal functions of the position incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties have been excluded from this job description.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in mental health or related field
  • Valid LSW or LAC for Clinician I position
  • Valid LCSW or LPC for Clinician II position
