About The Position

The Clinician at Upbring plays a crucial role in providing therapeutic support to Unaccompanied Children (UC) facing significant challenges. This position involves delivering individual, group, and family therapy, conducting assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans. Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science with direct clinical experience, or a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of clinical employment experience.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism consistent with the Social Work Code of Ethics.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Previous experience providing therapy in an ORR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive psychological assessments for Unaccompanied Children (UC) at the time of admission and throughout treatment.
  • Monitor the emotional, mental, and social well-being of UC and provide or arrange appropriate services.
  • Utilize positive child management techniques to handle behavioral issues and crises.
  • Coordinate and facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Complete and update UC case files with treatment plans and progress reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Establish treatment goals collaboratively with UC and prepare for treatment review meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for UC in psychological distress.
  • Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with clinical staff and community partners.
