About The Position

Our SED Therapist provides clinical services to clients (YOUTH AND TEENS) and families, clinical leadership to case managers and is responsible for treatment plan, quarterly reviews and any therapeutic services they deliver, including the authorization and reauthorizations for each clinical case. We are looking for a therapist with experience with youth and teens OR the desire to work with this age of clientele to join our team! To be transparent, this role could see the occasional SUD adolescent client as caseload dictates. Welcome to Samaritas Nation! This position has an annual salary, starting at $57,200 and based on applicable experience. Comprehensive benefits are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Requirements

  • Master Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field, from an accredited institution
  • Two years of clinical experience working with SUD clientele preferred
  • Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team preferred.
  • Fully licenced preferred. Limited license acceptable.
  • Minimum one year SUD counseling experience preferred
  • Minimum experience working on a team preferred
  • Familiarity with SUD documentation preferred
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record and proof of automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a person-centered treatment plan that focuses on addressing the needs of the client to include family engagement when applicable
  • Coordinate care for the client with family and other involved individuals, i.e. school personnel, probation officer, mentor, DHHS, medical personnel, etc
  • Provide individual, family therapy, and case management, as needed to each client/family on his/her caseload
  • Market and network with community partners and current/potential referral sources. Examples of this include but are not limited to attending community collaborative meetings, distributing marketing material, providing a description of services provided
  • Complete all service plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and all other necessary documentation in a timely manner
  • Represent Samaritas mission and vision with community partners. Exercise excellence and integrity as the job requirements are fulfilled
  • Monitor the quality of overall treatment services to clients on his/her caseload; and evaluate the adequacy of these services to meet treatment objectives
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings, therapist meetings, and any others as deemed necessary by the SUD Leadership
  • Represent Samaritas mission and vision with community partners. Exercise excellence and integrity as the job requirements are fulfilled
  • Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee's roles and functions
  • Possess a working knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards and work to assure compliance with such standards
  • Utilize educational opportunities and resources offered by the agency and through the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise, (conferences, trainings, peer supervision)
