About The Position

The Edinburg Center is seeking a Fee for Service Children’s Clinician to work in our Outpatient Clinic. Outpatient clinicians meet the ongoing therapeutic and ancillary social service needs of persons served and their families through direct interventions and/or by referral and advocacy for appropriate services. The Clinician will work with children and adolescents that may experience anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, school avoidance, social and emotional regulation, and cognitive and developmental delays. A passionate individual who has earned a licensed-eligible Master's Degree in a mental health-related discipline who wants a supportive environment to therapeutically support children and adolescents via individual or family therapy. A dedicated team of professionals who have chosen to join an organization with a forty-year history of serving people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, brain injury and autism in the community. Requirements

  • A passionate individual who has earned a licensed-eligible Master's Degree in a mental health-related discipline
  • Minimum 8 hours a week commitment

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes an initial interview with children and family referred for therapy and completes a comprehensive assessment as well as the CANS (Children and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) assessment per insurance specifications
  • Completes an Individualized Action Plan (IAP) and designs interventions to provide individual and/or family supports as indicated to Individuals ages 4-18. Sessions may be virtual or in person, depending on the needs of the individual and family
  • Participates in ongoing case coordination and consultation regarding the individual's progress both internally and with other service providers
  • Appropriately assess and determine discharge readiness, with appropriate care coordination and referrals for on-going support
