NaphCare is hiring a full-time Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, CPC, LMFT) to join our Jail Based Competency Treatment (JBCT) Program, THRIVE, that operates as a 30-bed adult competency to stand trial restoration and evaluation unit at Washoe County Detention Facility in Reno, NV. The Clinician will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, evaluate treatment goals, and provide individual and group therapy using psychoeducation, evidenced-based therapies, coping and social skills building, and support to improve patients’ symptoms of mental illness and/or disability, functioning, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate has experience working with serious mental illness and/or in a correctional setting, and in working within a multidisciplinary team. THRIVE provides specialized behavioral health services for patients found incompetent to stand trial (IST) and have been remanded to inpatient restoration treatment. The unit is a therapeutic environment, providing intensive day treatment services. By providing patient-centered, evidenced-based, and holistic care, THRIVE seeks to eliminate the need for these patients to transfer to await further delays in their legal case by having to await transfer to a hospital. The ultimate aim is to assist defendants in moving forward with their legal case and with their lives in a healthier place. The Clinicians will work with a team of psychiatric providers, psychiatric nurses, forensic examiners, forensic educator, group facilitator, and data coordinator led and supported by a program director. As a Clinician, have you ever wanted to work somewhere where you can see real results from what you do? Where you are part of a true mental health professional team, well-supported by management, such that you know your patients quickly receive any medications they need, receive fast follow-up from providers and experience remarkable results? Would you like to work in a place that is secure and where most patients are very appreciative of your care?
