About The Position

CMHA is looking to hire a full-time, 40 hours per week Clinician for our MDFT program. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain, CT. (Mon-Fri 9:00am - 5:00pm). Compensation: Clinician I - The annual salary range for this position starts at $57,000 Clinician II - The annual salary range for this position starts at $65,500 Clinician I are eligible for a $7,000 sign-on incentive Clinician II are eligible for a $10,000 Sign on incentive . Incentive payments will be paid out in half after 6 months of employment and after 1 year of employment. Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. CMHA also takes into consideration our benefits and paid time off package to provide a well-rounded and competitive approach to the applicant’s overall compensation. Position Summary: Serve as a key member of the Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) treatment team, which will provide treatment for youth/young adults and parents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Services include substance abuse/mental health screening, brief counseling, Multi-Disciplinary Family Therapy (MDFT), Medication Assisted Treatment, case management and recovery support services, substance abuse/tobacco cessation and prevention groups. Provide in home or office based MDFT in coordination with other agency and community services and documentation of services required by program policies and funding sources.

Requirements

  • Clinician I: Must have associates license (MFTA, PCA, LMSW); Must be eligible for LCSW, LMFT, LPC
  • Clinician II: Must have a Connecticut license as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Ph.D. as appropriate for services.
  • Will be certified in MANDT, first aid, and CPR
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains recovery-oriented therapeutic relationships with individuals through ongoing assessment, individual and group therapy, both onsite and in the community.
  • Maintains all training and certifications as required by program model.
  • Collaborates with client, team, and natural supports to develop client-centered treatment plans.
  • Manages emergency and crisis situations both on-site and in the community.
  • Acts in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
  • Completes assessment tools, integrates pertinent information to establish diagnoses, and analyzes data to create clinical formulation within designated timeframe.
  • Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by CMHA and external regulatory agencies.
  • Acts in accordance with program and agency regulatory bodies, including but not limited to: state, federal, Joint Commission, DCF, and DMHAS.
