Under general supervision, the Clinician I/II has responsibility for a psychiatric caseload of adolescents, transitional age youth and/or adults.
Clinician I - Master's degree in related field, MFT or MSW licensed waivered. Must possess and maintain a valid intern registration number or waiver from the State Board of Behavioral Examiners.
Clinician II - Must possess a current registration to practice as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, or a Marriage, Family and Child Intern in the State of California. Must possess and maintain a valid intern registration number or waiver from the State Board of Behavioral Examiners. Must have at least 2 years' experience providing clinician experience.
Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
Knowledge of principles and practices of community mental health treatment, including interviewing, assessment, individual, family and group counseling.
Knowledge of general psychiatric emergency intervention, diagnosis and brief and long term therapy methods.
Knowledge of principles of adult and child psychology.
Knowledge of laws and regulations related to clients' rights, voluntary or involuntary treatment and commitment for treatment, including criteria for commitment.
Knowledge of community resources and agencies providing support services for the mentally ill and/or persons with co-occurring disorders.
Knowledge of medical record keeping and documentation including client charting.
Knowledge of Medi Cal regulations and documentation for medical necessity.
California Driver's License
Personal vehicle with liability insurance for reimbursable mileage
First Aid certification, obtain within 90 days of employment and maintain current thereafter.
CPR certification, obtain within 90 days of employment and maintain current thereafter.
Develop computer skills adequate to perform job duties within 90 days of employment.
