About The Position

UNM School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation is an academic-affiliated medical center that is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physiatrist with interest or experience in neurorehabilitation and traumatic brain injury (TBI) to join our growing academic faculty. The successful candidate will provide clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with the TBI Medical Director, and will serve as core teaching faculty in our ACGME-accredited PM&R residency program. With a catchment population of over 800,000 and very little competition, the UNM hospital is a 618-bed, Level 1 trauma center servicing a state with a very strong need for PM&R services. Applicants with diverse interests in PM&R are all welcome and will be well-supported with the multi-specialty team focusing on using a wide range of minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical techniques. Albuquerque offers a family-friendly environment, great access to diverse populations, terrific public and private schooling options, boutique shopping, an abundance of outdoor recreational activities and a reasonable cost of living. Albuquerque offers beautiful, scenic and secluded neighborhoods with traditional, colonial and modern architecture. Centrally located with close proximity to Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Dallas, Texas and many national and state forests and recreational areas.
