About The Position

The Clinician position at Riverside Community Care involves providing clinical interventions to individuals of all ages, including youth, adults, and families. The role is based at the Somerville Outpatient Center and includes community outreach and Telehealth services. The Clinician is responsible for assessment, case management, service planning, individual and family counseling, and advocacy, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline required.
  • At least one year of clinical experience working with at-risk youth and families required.
  • Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical intervention to youth, adults, and families at the Somerville Outpatient Center and in the community.
  • Conduct assessments and develop service plans for clients.
  • Offer individual and family counseling and case management services.
  • Advocate for clients and link them to necessary resources and services.
  • Collaborate with local providers and attend community meetings as needed.
  • Function as the primary clinician for a designated caseload, primarily in the Newton schools.
  • Utilize community resources to support treatment goals and client growth.
  • Involve clients and families in assessment and service planning processes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with school personnel and other community providers regarding client needs.
  • Attend supervision meetings and utilize feedback for performance improvement.
