About The Position

The Supervisor, Clinical Trials and Research Unit (S-CRTU) is responsible for the administrative leadership and daily operations of assigned clinical trials and research units at The Valley Hospital. This role involves overseeing all clinical research activities, managing research personnel, and ensuring compliance with clinical research standards while maximizing efficiency and patient safety. The position also requires participation as a main coordinator on studies and providing on-call and weekend coverage as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of clinical research experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical research experience, with a focus on oncology or cardiology research.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory experience within the last five (5) years.
• Advanced knowledge of regulations pertaining to human research protection, including 21 CFR and 45 CFR 46.
• Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical trial regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administrative leadership and daily operations of assigned clinical trials and research units.
• Manage all clinical research activities and serve as a main coordinator on studies.
• Supervise research personnel to maximize efficiency, quality, and compliance with clinical research standards.
• Conduct performance assessments of staff and ensure adherence to TVH's Code of Conduct and S.E.R.V.E. values.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information and report non-compliance as necessary.
• Travel to various sites, including patient homes and rehab centers, as needed for research activities.
• Attend Investigator meetings and National Research meetings as required.
