Exciting Opportunity: We're looking for a Clinical Trials Nurse to join our inpatient team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive patient care, applying your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Requirements

  • New York State RN license and BSN
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience
  • Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • BCLS

Nice To Haves

  • 1.5 - 2 years of oncology experience preferred
  • Clinical research nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work within a Nurse-Physician-based Inpatient Practice Model
  • Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and participate in the conduct of studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials for (insert service).- various services
  • Educate those patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
  • Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
  • Implement the standards for research protocols in compliance with regulatory, institutional, and external agencies.
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.
  • Collaborate closely with members of the clinical research team across the MSK enterprise to manage protocol patients and coordinate care
