About The Position

The Clinical Trial Finance Manager will support the financial planning, tracking, and analysis of clinical trial activities across Structure Therapeutics’ development programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Trial Finance, this role will serve as a key partner to Clinical Operations, Project Management, and Accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, accruals, and vendor oversight. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a global, publicly traded biotech company and play a hands-on role in supporting the execution of our clinical programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 3 years in biotech or pharmaceutical clinical trial finance.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development processes, CRO/vendor management, and accrual methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global clinical trials preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Zip and Condor are a plus.
  • Prior experience in a publicly traded biotech or pharmaceutical company.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance requirements (SOX, GAAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for clinical trials, ensuring alignment with corporate and program objectives.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Project Management and FP&A to track clinical study spend, perform variance analyses, and assess key cost drivers.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical trial accruals; ensure timely, accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAP and company’s accounting policies.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining clinical trial contracts, work orders, and amendments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including variance analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations related to clinical trial costs.
  • Maintain financial models and dashboards to track trial performance and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Operations and FP&A to ensure proper coding, forecasting, and reporting of clinical spend.
  • Provide financial insights and ad hoc analyses to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and internal controls related to clinical operations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and SOX documentation as needed.
