About The Position

Clinical Therapist- Outpatient Experienced with Children/Adolescents Great opportunity for an LMSW, LMSW or LPC, LLPC; Busy Children/Adolescents behavioral health hospital is looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the team as a Clinical Therapist. Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 9:00-5:30pm Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital for Children & Teens facility in Chicago, Illinois provides inpatient treatment that is designed specifically for adolescents who are in a state of crisis, pose a danger to themselves or others, or need services to help them achieve emotional stability. This is a short-term level of care, with most inpatient stays lasting between five and seven days depending on each young person’s individual progress. Requirements

  • Master's degree in human services field.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Illinois; limited or full licensure welcomed.
  • Must have experience working with children/adolescents.
  • One-three years of experience or related experience, preferably in community mental health.
  • Current State of Illinois LMSW (Licensed Master's Social Work) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, define and coordinate individualized and group therapeutic support and services to patient’s with mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues in an outpatient setting.
  • Provides a broad range of therapeutic and psychiatric social work services to mentally or emotionally disturbed patients.
  • Acts as a liaison with hospitals, clinics, referral sources, and other medical professionals/centers affiliated with the facility.
  • Collaborates with psychiatric and interdisciplinary teams in diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Assess relative, cognitive, behavioral or emotional problems.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
