About The Position

SCMHCC is currently recruiting for a full-time clinician based out of our Wichita clinic. Benefits for Full-Time Employees: $2,000 Sign on bonus for 12 month commitment, 401(k) participation, 401(k) up to 5% salary match after one year of employment, eligible for paid vacation after six months of employment, paid sick leave accrual begins at hire date, employer paid life insurance and LTD after one year of employment, low cost employee health and vision insurance options, no cost employee dental coverage, and at least 10 paid holidays per calendar year. Requirements

  • Physical: Hear, speak and write English clearly. Vision adequate to observe clients and make chart entries.
  • Education: Defined by license type; see staff credentials.
  • Personal: Detail oriented, good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and good problem solving skills.
  • Other: Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance guidelines as this position requires ability to drive to agency centers and local community partner sites in order to meet the needs of consumers and the community. Pass a criminal background and drivers license check to the satisfaction of SCMH

Responsibilities

  • Provide intake assessments, individual, marital, family, group therapy, crisis assessment/screening and psychological testing if qualified to clients seeking services from South Central Mental Health.
  • Provide education and consultation services to the community on an “as needed” basis.
  • Provide treatment summaries/updates as requested by community partners.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with peers and other team members regarding consumer’s treatment.
  • Maintain clinical records routinely and in a timely manner. All records will be subject to utilization review.
  • Sustain a high level of professional competence through continuing education and clinical supervision.
  • Maintain all professional credentialing requirements.
  • Adhere to the standards of ethics for mental health professionals.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Provide other duties as assigned.
