Position Summary JusticeWorks is looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals and families for a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. This position may be filled by provisionally licensed or independently licensed professionals in social work, professional counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Clinical Therapists deliver care through a variety of settings, including telehealth, in-office, school-based, and in-home services, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care for every client and family.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Provisional License: LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A Independent Licensure: LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT
  • Strong knowledge of trauma informed care, family systems, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to ethical practice/responsibility, cultural competency/responsiveness, and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify presenting issues, needs, and strengths.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical goals, and client/family collaboration.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate to client age and diagnosis.
  • Maintain ongoing progress updates and treatment plan reviews, ensuring interventions remain relevant and effective.
  • Coordinate and facilitate discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition of care and linkage to community support.
  • Collaborate closely with medical providers for medication management and with behavioral interventionists (unlicensed providers) delivering in-home supplemental care to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Document all clinical activities in accordance with Medicaid, COA, and agency standards.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team consultation, and continuing education to support professional growth and quality outcomes.
  • Attend Individualized Education Plan Meetings, Interagency meetings with Department of Social Services and Department of Juvenile Justice, and offer support to clients during court proceedings.
  • Provide crisis counseling and intervention with support of management and external agencies for assigned clients/families on an as needed basis.
  • Full-time: Minimum of 20 hours of direct client services per week.
  • Part-time: Minimum of 10 hours of direct client services per week.
