About The Position

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Therapist provides intensive therapeutic services, responsibilities will include: Clinically supervises residents while following program policies and assuring compliance with BARJ principles and best practices within the field. Runs/co-facilitates therapeutic groups. Meets with individual clients (approximate caseload of 6) on a weekly (at least) basis. Completes client charts, including treatment plans and clinical notes utilizing an electronic health record system. Prepares court reports. Completes quarterly risk assessments (J-SOAP-II and ERASOR), assessments of global functioning (CANS and WHODAS), and PREA assessments (Vulnerability Assessment). Completes required managed care documentation and paperwork, monthly telephonic utilization reviews, and re-authorization packets (typically quarterly). Maintains regular contact with juvenile probation officers and/or caseworkers for case coordination. Attends court hearings as needed, providing testimony as to the adjustment, progress, and treatment focus of clients. Remains on call after hours for a week at a time several times a year. Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Specific training and/or experience with adolescents is preferred
  • One of several clinical licenses is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record System)
