About The Position

The Clinical Therapist provides comprehensive psychosocial care to patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of discharge and follow-up services. This role also delivers patient and family education, ensures compliance with Florida Mental Health Law, AHCA, and JCAHO standards, and contributes to the overall therapeutic environment. The position works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and may assist in the education of students.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited university required
• Must be eligible for Florida licensure

Nice To Haves

• Post-graduate experience in psychiatric treatment preferred
• Florida licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for inpatients and outpatients
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up services
• Deliver patient and family education as needed
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Florida Mental Health Law, AHCA, and JCAHO standards
• Assist with utilization review functions as required
• Contribute to the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in the education and supervision of students as required
