About The Position

Position Summary: The Therapist provides outpatient counseling services to patients within the Bozeman Health system. As a mental health professional, this position plays a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services and coordination of treatment with other members in the care system. This role receives referrals for individuals of all age groups from providers within the health system to provide individual and family therapy, case management services, referral, and follow-up to acute and chronic behavioral health concerns. Requirements

  • Master Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Licensed as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT in the state of Montana
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
  • Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
  • Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients’ behavioral health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with planning of frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Provide individual therapeutic sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment with the opportunity to create group therapy options if the need arises.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Assess patient progress and modify treatment programs accordingly; communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.
  • Provide crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.
  • Document therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.
