About The Position

Job Summary: The Lead Clinical Therapist-Outpatient demonstrates advanced clinical, problem solving, and crisis intervention skills. Assigns staff as needed for program implementation and provides situational leadership for day-to-day operations. Conducts clinical services, participates in case management, discharge planning, and intervenes in high-risk situations. The Lead CT-Outpatient complies with all legal and regulatory reporting requirements, interventions, documentation and referrals. The Lead CT-Outpatient collaborates with the treatment team, collateral contacts and community agencies to deliver the highest quality patient care services. Monitors and ensures quality of services, and documentation with assigned outpatient programs. The Lead CT-Outpatient works within the scope of designated license to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed staff. Education and Experience: Completion of a Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling related field, or completion of a Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in clinical psychology is preferred. Master's Degree in social work from an accredited institution will be considered. Minimum three years of experience in a behavioral health care setting is required. Minimum three years of experience in an acute psychiatric facility with age specific population is preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of psychotherapy theory and techniques. Able to identify need for supervision/consultation, utilize such appropriately, and accept direction. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; defuse aggravated situations with patients and families; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.

Requirements

  • MFT, LPCC, Psychologist or LCSW licensure is required.
