Provides a variety of mental health services to the Latino community in the South Los Angeles and Boyle Heights. As an ISM therapist, services will be provided to children, their families and adults with chronic health conditions. Services may include individual, group, and family psychotherapy; initial assessments and intakes; treatment planning; collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment teams within and outside the Agency. The ISM program also offers Outreach and Engagement services to enroll potential Latino clients in mental health services or to help reduce the stigma of mental health in the Latino community by means of community presentations or workshops. Clinical activities include but may not be limited to: Assessment and diagnosis using DSM 5 and ICD-10 manuals, Collaboration with clients and caregivers to develop treatment plans focused on reducing impairment, improve resiliency and family functioning, and connecting families with supportive community resources Providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy in the office, at home, in schools, in the community, and virtually through HIPAA-secured telehealth platforms (e.g., Doxy, Zoom) Working with a multidisciplinary team within and outside the agency which can include caregivers/parents, school staff, DCFS, Case Managers, medical staff and non-traditional providers. Demonstrating an ability to relate to a diverse Latino community and staff. Providing community outreach as a way to engage the Latino community in life-long wellness and support of the agency. Timely completion of clinical documents using the agency’s Electronic Health Record including Treatment plans, Progress notes, Assessments, Outcome Measures, and other clinical documentation. Complying with state and LA County Department of Mental Health (DMH) guidelines and timeframes. Consulting with medical providers to ensure improvement in overall health of clients. Responsible for being on call 24/7 to provide after-hours support to clients who call the ISM emergency number.
