About The Position

Innovative Counseling Partners, PLLC. is seeking motivated students to learn and grow within their organization. This position is available to students in their second year Master level clinical program (social work, clinical counseling). If you are passionate about creating and facilitating groups and providing compassionate care, you would be a great fit on their team. Innovative Counseling Partners is currently only looking for Spanish Speaking interns as their English-speaking slots have been filled.

Requirements

  • Available to students in their second year Master level clinical program (social work, clinical counseling)
  • Spanish Speaking (required for this specific opening)
  • Ability to demonstrate soft skills (email, basic Excel)
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy at all times
  • Completed coursework related to treatment for children/adolescents and/or young adults/adults, group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavior therapy

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and couples outpatient care, with clinical supervision
  • Aid in development and/or facilitation of DBT/CBT skills groups
  • Help with practice documentation and business tasks
  • Compete mental health assessment, SOAP notes, treatment plans/updates
  • Provide clinical observations/input from a social work or counseling psychology perspective
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision on a weekly basis
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement and professional development
  • Attend weekly Program planning meeting
