About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to patients varying in age and mental health diagnosis. The clinical therapist should have appropriate writing/documentation skills and ability to work well with treatment team members. The clinical therapist maintains confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited program
- 1-2 years formal work experience
- Relevant clinical experience through employment and/or practicum and internship will be considered
- BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
- CPI within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree from an accredited program
- 2-3 years formal experience, that includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, and also with individuals with serious mental illness.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Licensed or licensed-eligible as a Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker in Alabama
