About The Position

The Clinical Territory Manager (CTM) for Diabetes at Medtronic is responsible for educating and training healthcare professionals and patients on the company's diabetes products. This field-based role requires the CTM to serve as a clinical expert, collaborating with sales teams to implement growth strategies while troubleshooting clinical and technical issues. The position involves regular travel within the assigned territory, which includes Raleigh, Goldsboro, Greenville, and Morehead City, and requires a strong focus on patient outcomes and product awareness.

Requirements

  • A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Dietitian (RD), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Pharmacist.
  • Associate's Degree and 4 years of clinical experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred.
  • Prior sales experience.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients, physicians, nurses, educators, and other healthcare professionals on the importance of intensive management of diabetes using Medtronic products.
  • Support sales activities indirectly by collaborating with sales counterparts to develop and implement territory growth strategies.
  • Troubleshoot clinical and technical issues regarding Medtronic products and therapy.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in assessing and managing patients' Medtronic therapy to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Consult and present to individuals and groups on behalf of Medtronic Diabetes.
  • Plan, organize, and manage assignments within the allotted budget.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory and attend seminars, symposiums, and special events as directed.
  • Collaborate with other Medtronic Diabetes departments to ensure optimal patient experience.
  • Participate in ongoing competency development through various training mediums.
  • Identify and facilitate execution on growth opportunities with the Diabetes Sales and Clinical Support Team.
