About The Position

Expectations: Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of a diverse range of clinical equipment, typically non-life support. This position requires flexibility of hours. EDUCATION: Associate degree or vocational training in electronics, biomedical equipment technology or a related field. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: One year experience as a biomedical equipment technician is a healthcare setting preferred.

• Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting.
• Associate degree or vocational training in electronics, biomedical equipment technology or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as a biomedical equipment technician is a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification

Responsibilities

• PM completion rate achieves 100% for life support equipment.
• Schedules PMs and informs the head of department in a timely fashion.
• Documents entire procedure including follow-up on "delinquent devices" on a monthly basis.
• Completes assignments monthly.
• Performs safety inspections per HMH CT’s PMP procedures.
• Based on the results of the test, makes the immediate necessary corrections.
