More about our team Fauquier Health’s Medical/Surgical department is a combination unit consisting of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care, with 30 beds total between two floors. Our rapidly growing unit will elevate your nursing skills with a variety of patient cases and acuity levels, such as Cardiac, GI, Renal Failure, and Orthopedics. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred (current high school students are exempt from diploma requirements).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 7 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Virginia preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient operations, including copying, faxing, and mail distribution. Maintains accurate and organized records, logs, and files as assigned.
