About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. Martin North Hospital is converting their South Tower 3rd Floor to open twelve new medical/surgical private rooms to allow even more inpatient bed availability. As a Clinical Technician on this team, you will support your fellow caregivers and medical staff by providing patients with top-quality care following surgical operations and procedures. Under the supervision of an RN, you will utilize your technical and applicable skills to enhance the patient experience and create a welcoming, healing environment. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Nursing Students: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire
• Non-Current Nursing Students: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period

Nice To Haves

• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) OR additional education/training

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, application of external monitoring devices, and inserting urinary Foley Catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Complete an internal training program within two weeks of hire.
