Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation offers a family-centered Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Program to patients from infancy to the age of 21 who require hospitalization or acute rehabilitation. As a Clinical Technician, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those with cord injuries, complex injuries, neurologic disorders and burns. In this position, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while advancing your skills and growing as a nurse at Cleveland Clinic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within new hire period.
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight.
• Assist patients with personal care.
• Conduct point of care testing.
• Perform dressing changes and apply external monitoring devices.
• Remove urinary Foley Catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
