The Ophthalmic Technician participates in the care of patients in a clinic setting. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will greet patients and explain what they should expect during their appointment. You will escort patients to an exam room and perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests and procedures prior to the physician seeing them, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry. The role involves assuring appropriate notes and accurately updating patient charts/records. Additionally, you will maintain the clinic environment, including sterilization and cleaning. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays.
