About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join our Emergency Department team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 7pm - 7.30am. Requirements

• 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
• Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire.
• Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
