About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 on the Progressive Care Unit to join the team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday – Friday, rotating weekends, 7pm - 7.30am. candidate must be able to attend a paid 6 week training period.

Clinical Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:
Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Shift: night (7pm - 7.30am)
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)
Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

Requirements

• 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.
• Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course
