Clinical Technician 1 Cardiac Cath Lab PRN
About The Position
Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team in our Observation Unit. This role will be PRN or "as needed", minimum of six 12-hour shifts per two-month period. Day shift 7AM – 7:30PM. All candidates must be able to attend an initial full-time, 6-week training period,which will be paid at their full pay rate. Requirements
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
- Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training
Nice To Haves
- Patient Care Experience in a similar unit/facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
- Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
- Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
- Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
- Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
- Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, including phlebotomy, starting and removing IV’s, and other clinical skills, which will be included in initial 6-weeks of training.
