About The Position

Eligible for SIGN-ON BONUS - Join Our Team as a Clinical Tech at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital! Department: IP NEURO Location: Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, 205 N East Ave., Jackson, MI 49201 Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday rotation Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3x12 hours shifts) Are you passionate about patient care and looking to grow in a dynamic, supportive healthcare environment? Whether you're taking vitals, assisting with procedures, or simply ensuring comfort, you'll be a vital part of the patient journey. Requirements

  • To qualify, you'll need a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
  • Current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters or has graduated from a Registered Nurse program
  • Graduate of an LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program
  • Certified in Phlebotomy
  • Previous Clinical Tech experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to tailor care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Valid BLS certification (or must be obtained during Patient Care Orientation)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an acute care setting (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and recording essential patient data - vitals, food and fluid intake/output, and more - with precision and care.
  • Responding to patient needs and partnering with RNs to ensure maximum comfort and safety.
  • Noticing the little changes that can make a big difference - and reporting them promptly.
  • Supporting mobility by helping patients ambulate and get where they need to go.
  • Assisting with oxygen devices under RN direction and applying slings post-pacemaker procedures.
  • Performing clinical tasks such as Foley catheter insertion, bladder scans, enemas, blood glucose checks, and documenting results.
  • Providing help with daily activities, like dressing, meals, and hygiene.
  • Supporting RNs during equipment use and bedside procedures.
  • Delivering culturally sensitive care to a wide range of patients - from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Promoting positive experiences for patients and their families through kind, respectful interaction.
  • Performing phlebotomy and IV access procedures with confidence and care.
