About The Position

Clinical Technician 2 - Medical Surgical with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. The Medical Surgical with renowned Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated and loyal Clinical Technician 2 to join the team in a part-time capacity! Your shifts will be from 6:00AM - 6:30PM with rotating weekends or holidays. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program and/or two years of nursing school completed.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of virtual modules, classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM, and on-unit training with department hired into (times TBD).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Performs blood draws.
• Inserts IVs.
• Inserts catheters/Foleys.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
